THE NON- JUROR / HIGH-CHURCHMAN.
An Anglican Catholic and a believer in the Catholic Church as the Body of Christ. I was taught that there was only one Church, membership, generally, was through Triune Baptism and use of the proper words,plus a belief in the Revelation of Christ, once revealed to the saints.(Jude.) This recorded in Scripture and Interpreted, Explained and Completed by the Holy Fathers in Council. i.e. The First Seven Councils is the traditional Catholic belief of the First thousand years!
GOING TO ROME!
If every person who asked me if I was , 'going to Rome,' under the T.AC., initiative, gave me a penny on asking the question, I should be a rich man! It always makes me wonder why they think I would want to? Apart from the point of why should Rome want a chap such as me, what on earth has given anyone the idea that I would want to go and join an organisation such as they are?
Rome makes a big point about being ,'The Catholic Church,' but to my mind they are not that august body, they are no more than being a ,'particular church', [Read the Creed of Trent] within the fold of the Church Catholic. Before the Council of Trent they were known as the Suburbicarian Church of Rome. At that Council ,amongst other things, the name was changed to the Holy Roman Church! Why was that, you might ask after some persuasion?It was because the Bishop of Rome and his servants had carried out a coup against the Church and most of the bishops and states within Europe had surrendered their responsibilities on to the shoulders of the Pope and his cronies within the Vatican! Read the Creed of Trent and Littledale's Book on the, Council of Trent.*
There had been a change, after the Council. *Oppponents asked them where their Church had been before Trent? John Evelyn the polymath and diarist referred to, 'Romish priests and their new,'Trent Religion' *.[Pg. 507/10.Mch.1687]
"Such writers as Field and others in our Church have always written of the Council of Trent as the great agent in severing the papal communion formally and specifically from that which Catholic and stamping it Papal and Roman.'
